Tierschützer protestierten gegen die Versuche. --- Musiker in Neuseeland protestieren, dass die Organisatoren des Tauranga National Jazz Festival die Gagen wegen eines eingefahrenen Defizits des Festivals nicht bezahlt hätten (New Zealand Herald). Den Musikern wurde mitgeteilt, sie müssten bis zum 20. Mai warten, die Organisatoren hofften, dann die "Mehrheit" der Auftretenden bezahlen zu können.

That changed, though, when the rats were given doses of cocaine, after which "their tastes shifted and they gravitated toward the jazz". Animal rights groups voiced their protests over the research. --- New Zealand musicians protest that the organizers of the Tauranga National Jazz Festival were unable to pay the performer's fee due to a deficit of the event (New Zealand Herald). The musicians were told they would have to wait until May 20th when the organizers hoped to be able to pay the "majority" of performers.
